Laying the Foundations: 2nd Month of Development Complete

This month was all about Genre! With the foundations for a VR Shooter set after the first month, it was time to make Gunpunk VR a Roguelike Shooter

The current plan is to have it be a Linear Branching Roguelike. That means going into a single room, clearing all the enemies, then picking your next room. Kill, Choose, Repeat

Guns

  • Pistol (Deagle) added
  • Flight Damage added
  • Bullet hole System added
  • Auto-Attachment System added; guns will now return to holsters when dropped
  • Magazine can now spawn for both your hands or your gun
  • Hitmarkers updated to display the body part they hit
  • Dummy Range added for testing

Player

  • Jump & Sprint Button added
  • Player Damage Feedback added

Upgrades

  • Upgrades implemented
  • Magma Worm added; adds fire damage to weapon
  • Sanguine Bud added; adds leeching to weapon
  • Static Battery added; adds chain lightning to weapon
  • Upgrades can evolve to reflect their level/soft cap/hard cap

Consumables

  • Wrist Consumable System added
  • Heal Crystal added
  • Light Orb added

Dungeon

  • Spider Mob added
  • Elite Spider Eye added
  • Upgrade Shop added
  • Multi-Door Room added

Coding Stuff for the Programming Nerds

  • Gun parts modularized, interfaces added
  • Audio Pool System added
  • Weighted Roll System added
  • Dungeon Director System added
